Manchester United's Ashley Young has fired a warning to the rest of the Premier League, hinting that his side should not yet be written off in the title race.
The Star reports that Young is backing United boss Louis van Gaal to get things right at United even after failing to guide the team to a win in his first three league games in charge.
Young insists it is too soon to count United out of the title race as they have proven before that they have what it takes to storm back into contention.
He said: "In previous seasons when we haven't started the season so well we've gone on to win the league. People have written us off already but everyone here knows you don't write off a club like United.
"People can say what they want but internally we all know exactly what we're striving to do, what goals we've set and what we want to achieve. There is no point panicking after a handful of games.
"It's obviously been disappointing but you have to take the positives from the games we've had. I definitely think things are going to turn for us and I would say to the fans there is nothing to worry about, we're going to come good.
"It's just like the manager has said: just believe in the philosophy and how we're playing and keep believing that we're going to turn this round - because we do."
Young has been filling an unfamiliar left wing back role since van Gaal arrived, but while he admits it will take some time for the club to adjust to the new set up, Young is optimistic that things will get better.
